Post-Laser Complications: From prevention to management

This session will explore the prevention, recognition, and management of complications following laser procedures.

  • Atypical healing patterns, persistent erythema, and hyperpigmentation (tranexamic acid).
  • Acute blurred vision post-laser and eye safety with corneal shield during periocular and eyelid treatments.
  • Bacterial Infection- MRSS infections and the impact of Blue laser for treatment

Scar Management

From immediate post-surgical healing protocols to scar revision months or years later.

This session will explore practical approaches involving laser to minimise scar formation, improve healing outcomes, and manage complex scars (trapdoor/pin cushion scar).

Through clinical cases, we will discuss the use of various K-Laser Blue Derma settings, combined approaches including massage and needle subcision, and practical protocols using products such as TR-Pro+ and Nokari Scar Balm.

Photobiomodulation In Everyday Practice

A practical overview of the mechanisms of photobiomodulation (PBM) and how clinicians can integrate laser therapy into everyday practice where inflammation, pain, tissue damage, or delayed healing are present.

Through clinical cases, this session will explore PBM applications for

  • ulcers, wound healing, hypergranulation, biofilm
  • skin flap and graft survival
  • Pain post-surgical/procedure and recovery time
  • Efudex excessive inflammatory responses.
  • Vasculitis and lymphodema
  • CRPS and other painful chronic conditions

The focus will be on developing a practical clinical mindset to recognise opportunities where PBM may improve patient healing and recovery outcomes.
